Skeeter wishes for a swift death. Were she ever to show herself in public, I should generously grant her this desire and derive the utmost pleasure from it.

[Private to Godric]
Who was that ugly goatish mammet she captured you locking mouths with?

For Godric and Rowena's eyes only

Helga has returned to Lockewood, but in a vastly different shape.

She is now but a mere child.

I would like nothing more than to slay Skeeter and stick her head on a pike.

She is

They are gone.

First my son, and now Helena and Helga.

It's fortunate I've begun a task to keep my thoughts elsewhere. Or I might be tempted into doing something rash.

The fledgling I am forced to share quarters with has taken the liberty of imposing her adornments and embellishments all over the house.

May any future guests be assured that the green and red paper rings suspended from the ceiling are all her doing. As are the garish blankets, the pillows and the writing on the wall. Lovegood claims it is poetry and I say the Muses weep if that is poetry.

Lady Skeeter deems it appropriate to make me share my quarters with a maid little older than Helena. Her choice leaves me in want of a reason, but knowing she has none, my questing will cease.

If one thing be clear, may it be that this fledgling is not my strumpet, nor will she ever be.

Godric's departure was most celebrated, few if any have noticed Helga has for a second count doffed this strange realm. Her ways must know how to bewitch Lady Skeeter's heart, if a heart she hath in her.

My days linger on here it seems. Mayhaps because no one is better qualified to look after my three students. They are oft times slow to grasp what they are being taught, but learning under my direction they are.

I am thinking I might have them raise a hatchling apiece. Is there a merchant who sells Ashwinder eggs?

[Rowena, Samson, Helena]
I will be full of vexation if any of you took leave with Godric and Helga yet escaped my notice.

Should I find the knave responsible for poisoning me, I will personally see the villain unseamed. Gryffindor, nothing is amended between us. I was not myself when we spoke.

As for the young wizards and witches who are not to have their schooling further interrupted, you are to know that Helga Hufflepuff has taken leave of us and I'm to resume teaching duties in her stead. Lady Skeeter would not say whether this will be a fixed change. Despite her capricious tendencies, there will be respect and order in my classroom or else severe consequences.

I think we all need to hug. Everyone, wrap your arms around someone, be it a muggle, a commoner, or a peasant. They need hugs too.

Better yet, I offer one and all a hug!

Samson, where are you, dear son? Your father wants a hug.

My son is here and no longer a small lad.

A misbegotten wench whose mouth cannot be corked has invaded my workspace, claiming to be the one charged with sorting the post.

Gryffindor is still an insufferable ass

I think a visit to the tavern is called for.

After being forced to hear and pour over the modern form English has degenerated into, I have decided to try imitating this gross style in my scrawlings.

The innumerable contractions may take some adjusting to. I will not deign to lose all sense of punctuation and capitalisation, however.

I'm curious, also. Has anyone seen Godric Gryffindor as of late? I usually notice him skulking about in front of the tavern full of Banshees in the pretense of guarding the door. Or what you all term the night club, if memory serves me.

I have had no choice but to dwell here long enough to know some fortunate few are able to leave. By what methods, I know not. If that buffoon managed to escape before me, I'm going to track him down and string up his entrails to hang from the castle turrets.

Wither hath proper manners flown to? I hath found my quarters rudely disturbed and I know not by whom, but dearly they shall beg to repent their wrongs. The worm hath robbed me of food enough to feed five.

The insistent fingers of curiosity and concern prod me to address a more intriguing problem than Lady Skeeter and her slights.

What grand duties, pray tell, dost a Post Man perform?

This role is as unknown to me as a friend I once held dear, and I scarcely think it fitting nor right that Helga should be sentenced to work in the school while I should not. The only explanation my mind can conjure is a man who doth guards posts, but I hath seen no terraces nor battlements in lack of idle guardians.

I am in a strange new land. Upon my honour, I vow if you are responsible for this circumstance, Godric, the Normans will not win the pride of your crown on a pike. I will.
